The Challenge of Managing Public Lighting Infrastructure
For urban infrastructure and public transportation management units, traditional lighting systems present three major operational and accountability challenges:
- Reactive fault detection — faulty lights are typically reported only through citizen complaints, leading to prolonged downtime and safety risks for road users
- Difficult centralized monitoring and reporting — no real-time operational data is available for oversight, inspection, or periodic reporting
- High maintenance labor costs — staff must manually inspect each lighting route, without knowing the exact fault location before arriving on site
SKYTECH's Comprehensive Smart Lighting Solution is designed to directly address these operational challenges, combining the CT1-LCU hardware controller (three versions — SLT01, SLT02, SLT03 — depending on infrastructure type) with the centralized Citisys Smart Web management platform.

Solution Architecture — 3 Controllers, 1 Management Platform
Depending on the existing lighting infrastructure, SKYTECH offers three corresponding controllers, all synchronizing data to the same Web Admin platform:
Controller | Main Application | Installation Method |
|---|---|---|
SLT01 | Centralized control cabinet, managing multiple lighting routes at once | Installed inside the electrical cabinet |
SLT02 | Individual light pole | Mounted directly on the light pole |
SLT03 | Street lights with standard Nema socket | Mounted on the light's existing Nema socket |

SLT01 — Centralized Cabinet Controller
Suited for areas with an existing public lighting control cabinet, SLT01 enables remote control and monitoring of all connected lighting routes via Web/App: on/off scheduling or light-sensor control, current/voltage consumption monitoring, and instant fault alerts.

SLT02 — Pole-Mounted Controller
Compact design, mounted directly on the light pole, ideal for routes without a central electrical cabinet or for point-by-point deployment. SLT02 provides the same full monitoring and remote-control features as SLT01, at the level of each individual light pole.

SLT03 — Standard Nema Controller
Purpose-built for street lights using a standard Nema socket — quick installation with no complex wiring, ideal for upgrading existing lighting to a smart system without replacing the entire light pole.
